I'm Dana Dugan Thorsen, RN, LNC — better known to my colleagues as Dana Dugan Thorsen, RN extraordinaire. With more than 30 years of nursing experience, I bring extensive expertise and practical healthcare insight to every case I review.

My nursing career includes extensive experience in emergency medicine, telephone triage, nursing leadership, and pharmaceutical clinical trials. I have served in roles including charge nurse, preceptor, assistant clinical manager, EPIC trainer and preceptor — bringing a broad clinical perspective to every case I take on.

Emergency nursing is not just what I have done throughout my career — it's who I am. That identity, built over decades at the bedside and in leadership, is what I bring to every medical-legal matter. I understand the pressures clinicians face, the documentation standards they're held to, and where care delivery can go wrong.

I help clients understand complex medical issues, evaluate case merit, identify deviations from standards of care, and translate medical records into clear, actionable information that legal teams can immediately put to work.

I founded Rapid Response Legal Nurse Consultants, LLC on a simple principle: attorneys deserve a clinical partner who understands both the complexity of medicine and the demands of litigation — and who delivers honest, thorough analysis on every case.
